Source: Acta Medica Transilvanica. Author s : Ciubară, A. Abstract: The objective of this study was the identification of the therapeutic possibilities for the fractures of the distal humerus type B3.

In a series of cases of distal humerus fractures, only 5 cases were identified with this type of fracture. In the treatment of this type of fracture the following methods were taken into consideration: open reduction and internal fixation with Herbert screws in 3 cases; arthroplastic resection in one case and a conservatory treatment upon request in one distal humerus fracture - this latter case was subsequently excluded for failure to show up.

Given the very small number of cases recorded, no solid conclusions could be drawn from the results obtained.
